The Chiropractor will take a complete history, asking you about any medical conditions, previous injuries and your symptoms. You will then receive a thorough examination, and your posture, reflexes and muscle strength will be checked. Other orthopaedic and neurological tests may also be performed.

If the Chiropractor feels it is necessary, X-rays or other types of diagnostic imaging will be carried out.

They will also check for signs of any serious conditions for which you would need to go to your GP or to hospital.

The Chiropractor will then deliver a verbal report of their findings to you.

They will explain clearly what the problem is and what treatment will be needed to correct the problem, also how long it will take.

They will recommend either an individually tailored Treatment Plan or a referral to an appropriate specialist if your case is not suitable for chiropractic care.

During this visit you will receive your first treatment if you decide to continue with the Chiropractic program which has been planned for you.
